How to Copy and Paste

VAG-COM is a program that runs on Microsoft Windows.  In order to perform certain functions, you may need to use the Copy and Paste functions.

Your mouse or pointing device may not look exactly like the one below.
If it does not, please see the owner's manual for your mouse or computer to find out
how to move the cursor and where the left and right mouse buttons are located.  

• Using your mouse, place your cursor at the beginning of the text in the first box below.

• Hold down the left mouse button, while dragging your cursor over the text by moving the mouse to the right until you reach the end of the text.

• This should highlight the text. Now release the left mouse button.

• Next using your mouse, place your cursor over the highlighted text.

• Press and release the right mouse button and a list of options will appear.

• Using your mouse, move the cursor up or down the list until it highlights 'Copy'.

• Press and release the left mouse button.

• You have just copied the text! It has been copied to an invisible clipboard.

•  Now using your mouse, place your cursor over the second box below (the empty one).

•  Press and release the right mouse button and a list of options will appear.

•  Using your mouse, move the cursor up or down the list until it highlights 'Paste'.

•  Press and release the left mouse button.

•  You have just pasted the text!  You can now copy and paste, even between different programs!
